Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone! Joseph and I don't really celebrate Halloween. It's not our holiday. But I wanted to send wishes to those who "check us out".
It's been a busy week so I haven't posted for a while. Last weekend Joseph and I got some Christmas shopping done and caught up on together time by having a nice dinner date and snuggling up on the couch. I started water aerobics Monday at the City Pool and I LOVE it! My aunt Janet goes Monday, Wednesday and Friday of the week so that's when I'm going too. I have a blast and it's so fun to spend that time with my aunt. It's a better workout than I thought it would be. I was actually kind of stiff on Tuesday! LOL But it's so good for not just the body but good for the spirit and soul too. I feel so good after I get done.
It's supposed to be rainy and cloudy all weekend so it may be time to stay in and catch up on movies we haven't seen yet.
I need to give a huge CONGRATULATIONS to my Connor! He pinned his wrestling opponent in under a minute last night! Way to go Sweetie! He didn't get to wrestle last week because there was no one there in his weight class so this was his first match of the season! I'm sooo stinkin' proud of him!
He also told me last night that mom was helping to finish his Halloween costume. I guess he was going as "Beast" and Brisa was going as "Belle". M.J. was going as "Darth Vader".(I guess he didn't want to follow the Disney theme) So fun! I can't wait to see pictures!
Happy Halloween Everyone! Have a great weekend!

Reminiscing...a good laugh!

Today I had lunch with two girls I went to high school with that now live in Twin Falls too. It was SO much fun! I wasn't really close to them in high school but we were still friendly to each other. It's so nice to see some people have actually grown up! HA! They both have beautiful little families and are just sweet as ever. We had such a good time. We made plans to do it again and I'm so excited! We had some really good laughs about who dated who and have you heard from so and so and we just had a really good time. Brings to mind another thing I'm thankful for: good friends. You can never have too many people to care about and who care about you. So here's to Jamie and Karen! I'm looking forward to next time!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIS!

Yes...another birthday! This one is for my wonderful big sis! A girl couldn't ask for a better sister! As kids we sure went the rounds as two very strong-willed siblings but today she is one of my very best friends...and for that I am truly greatful! I hope she sees this. I don't think I tell her nearly enough how much she means to me. We have a small family so every member is a treasure to me. Here are some things I find amazing about my sis: she's strong, she's independent, she can handle three kids, a husband, and a mother-in-law all at the same time (and with a smile...most of the time!), she's very smart, she's kind, she's loving, she's beautiful, and she would do anything for anyone at any time. I love my sis! She has brought three beautiful kids into this world (simply for my enjoyment and for me to spoil rotten of course!). So sis, if you are reading this...HAVE A WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY! I wish I could be there! (and tell Connor good luck on his first wrestling match of the season...I'll be calling later to find out how he did!) My love goes out to all of you...can't wait to see you at Thanksgiving!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT JANET!

Even though she won't see this, I have to give my Aunt Janet a big happy birthday wish! She is so awesome! I'm so glad I live near her. We don't see each other all the much but just knowing she's close is a comfort. Next week I plan to start doing water aerobics with her. She's been doing it for quite some time and has been bugging me to join her. I'm excited to get to see her more often and share something with her. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT JAN! You're the best!

The little things in life...

As I sit here listening to the wind and "feeling" the chill, it makes me thankful for the little things: jammie pants just out of the dryer, warm socks, warm shelter, hot cocoa, bills are paid so we have heat, a good movie, comfy pillows and blankies, and a cuddly kitty (when she's in the mood). Fall is my favorite season of all and I am just loving the weather! I wish you all a good day of comfort and happiness.

little by little I think I'll get this. I know it's not hard but c'mon...we're talking about me here. I was reading a friend's blog and she was talking about Christmas and it made me think of all the things to be greatful for. I get so caught up in how much money we can spend and if we are spending enough on each member of the family and it made me feel ashamed for even thinking that. It's not what Christmas is about. It never fails that my mom always says "your dad and I don't want anything but for you girls and your husbands and kids to be here with us." I have an amazing mom. I have an amazing dad. I'm tremendously blessed.
